NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS ARE FOR LOSERS

New Year’s resolutions are for losers! Why? Because if you make them, you will lose. Most resolutions die on the vine shortly after they are made. Even worse, most resolutions actually backfire and the opposite intent is manifested. Resolve to lose weight and watch the ponds go on. Resolve to be happier and you get depressed. Resolve to have better relations and you get into more fights. Resolve to get a better job and you get fired.

The reason this occurs is because when you resolve to do something, you are stating and emphasizing a current condition in your life. Form follows thought. When you say “I am going to lose weight;” you are actually affirming that you are obese. When you say “I am going to get a better job;” you are affirming that the job you have is terrible. When you say “I am going to get more money;” you are affirming you are poor. In effect, you are making affirmations about your current state of misery and those affirmations are the basis for your continued reality. Most resolutions are filled with emotion which drives the intensity of the manifestations in your life. By focusing upon food, money, a bad job, and a generally unhappy condition in your life, you are feeding those conditions with emotion and staying power.

Is there any proof of this? Well, look at your life and see how many things have changed as a result of making resolutions. How many of your last year New Year’s commitments have been fulfilled? The law of Attraction is always at work. The fundamental basis of that law is that like attracts like. So when you say you want more money, your emotional focus is really upon the money you do not have. Therefore, you attract more ‘do not have.’ When you want to lose weight your focus is really on how much excess weight you are carrying around. There, the law of attraction gives you more of what you are ‘carrying around.’ When you focus on really wanting a better job, your mind is locked onto how bad your current job is. So what you get is more of ‘of your bad job.’

All of these subtleties are keys in using the Law of Attraction. They are the “secret” within “The Secret.” The work at hand is not to resolve to do or be something, but rather to actually affirm that you are all those things you desire. Right now you are probably saying, “But I am overweight, need more money and have a lousy job.” If you did that you just affirmed this in your mind, so guess what will happen? You are a creature of habit and those habits have created your current condition. This is the mindset that would be appropriate for you to adopt. “I am healthy, abundant, prosperous and happy. I am grateful for my perfect physical, mental and emotional health and well-being. I am grateful for food, home, money job and loving relationships. My hopes, goals and dreams are fulfilled and now manifest in my life. It is my nature to be happy and blessed with all that I desire. What I have benefits all and harms none. I am grateful that I crate my own reality.”

What comes into play here is the Law of Gratitude, The Law of Attraction and the Law of Responsibility. Working in tandem, these laws bring about a new way of thinking and a new way of living. Remember, if you are reading this, you are alive and have some semblance of health. You have had enough money to buy a computer. You either are or have been employed. You have something to eat and some kind or roof over your head. As you become grateful for all of those things, the laws swing in your favor by providing you with more of what makes you happy. That sense of happiness is emotional fuel for your manifestation fire. The more fuel, the higher the flame and the better your life will become. It works! It is working now. Just see what you have a lot of, which could mean unhappiness, and that will show you what fires you have fueled. If you can’t stand the heat, time to go to a new kitchen.

NO MORE LOSERS! DON'T LOSE WEIGHT

How many millions take the vow of food abstinence on January 1st? How many millions give up shortly after the first? There is little doubt that Americans have gotten fat and that obesity is a major health issue confronting today’s youth. The age of high calorie fast foods combined with the sedentary life style of the ‘joystick’ must be a boon to the clothing industry as people need ever increasingly larger sizes of clothes.

It is estimated that 95% of all diet plans fail. Those New Year resolutions sound great but most of the crash diet programs never work and many can actually make you ill. One of the key issues with dieting is that the fixation on weight loss actually results in frequent weight gain. The focus upon food creates a mental trap since that mindset keeps you thinking about wanting more food. It is the idea that form follows thought. Aside from the hundreds of fad diets that make will the covers of tabloids and talk shows, there are even more books that will offer some kind of miracle program for you to lose weight. What is the consumer to do?

There is a new book out by Linda Walker called, NO MORE LOSERS: A BOLD NEW APPROACH TO ACHIEVING THE BODY YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED. Is this just another diet book that makes promises that cannot be kept? It would appear not. In fact, in the foreword it says, “This is not a diet book. You won’t find some new-fangled diet plan that promises magical results.” The author says, “I know what it’s like to go from one diet to the next. I’d lose and I’d gain. I’d lose more and then get that back and more. I was so good at this yo-yo dieting that it virtually became my lifestyle. It wasn’t until I’d finally begun to suffer from increasingly serious health complications due to my weight that I was alarmed enough to search for a real answer to my weight problem.”

Did the author find a new pill that would bring salvation? No. Did she find a new miracle food that would melt those extra pounds away in just two weeks? No. Did she discover come new vitamin that she will offer to you at a bargain price that will shed those unwanted pounds? No. What Linda Walker discovered is what she terms, “CLICK-ON” to weight REDUCTION. She says that you do not go into ‘lose weight mode’ but rather ‘reduction mode.’ In this method you ‘click-on’ a mental switch “that lets you break free from the bad habits of a lifetime and gives you total control over your mind and body.”

In NO MORE LOSERS, Linda takes you through her life’s journey and constant struggle with her weight. She recalls the upbringing that insisted that you eat everything on your plate, the system of sweets for rewards, and then the constant taunts and cruel remarks of her school mates. And now, after ‘reducing’ her weight by 100 pounds, she says that this was done without pills and without giving up any of her favorite foods. She says, “I haven’t counted one calorie or fat gram. And the best part of all is knowing that I will never get back any of that unwanted weight ever again!” What is the key to this “simple 10 step (minus one) approach? The key is understanding the difference of two simple words: “losing” and ‘reducing.”

With chapter headings such as, STOP LOSING AND START WINNING, STOP EXCUSING AND START REDUCING and STOP THE BAD AND START THE GOOD, you quickly see that this is not a new diet fad but rather a life approach that results in permanent weight reduction and not weight loss. Keep one thing in mind, when a person ‘loses’ something, the first thing they try to do is to find it. When you ‘reduce’ something, you create an entirely new way of thinking that will alter your life and your health.
NO MORE LOSERS is written by LINDA WALKER and published by ALL THINGS THAT MATTER PRESS. It is also available on Amazon.com in both print and Kindle Edition and as an E-Book from Mobipocket. 150 pages, $14.99.

A CONFLUENCE OF EVENTS: 2102

When I read the blog that follows (Excerpted here with the url for the entire post), I was reminded of a conversation that I had with Marvin Wilson and Steven Martin on my BlogTalkRadio show. We were discussing the book, THE TRUTH, and what we foresaw as events centering on the year 2012. I mentioned that we are at a stage where there is a “Confluence of Events.” In other words, many things are happening in the world at the same time. Individually, these events have happened before, but the difference is that now they are happening all at once.
In the past, there have been periods of global warming and massive cooling. There have been disruptions in the natural order of things. In the past there have been political, social, economic and environmental upheavals. But, in the past, these events tended to occur singularly or in related groupings. For example, the Depression of 1929 was an economic event that was followed by major political events. George Washington had to deal with a “mini-ice age” when crossing the Delaware. There have been periods of climatic calamity which had major economic impacts. But today, things are a bit different. Many events are’ flowing together’ simultaneously. Thus, we have a confluence of events.

The world is dealing with major climatic, social, economic and political events all at once. While the recent focus has been on economic issues, climate change is still accelerating at un-predicted rates. Many social systems are crumbling and religious institutions are fighting for survival. The world political stage is changing dramatically and war looms as a real issue in many parts of the globe. All of these events are happening at a time when prophesy says such events are heralding in a ‘new age’ for humanity.
(From: http://shamanismoflight.blogspot.com/2008/12/2012-shamanic-odyssey.html)
“According to the Mayan way of measuring and keeping time we are at the end of one age of the Sun, each age lasting 5125 years.

To understand more or less how the Mayan calendar works requires study but we can say as an overview that the Mayans counted and measured many more cycles than we do.
And they inter-relate these cycles as if they were cogs of a giant machine giving each day a unique combination of influences that take into account not only the movement of the Earth, Sun and Moon but also Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and, furthermore, much wider cosmic movements at a galactic level. This system is much more accurate and precise than other calendar systems in other cultures, giving the Mayans the honor of having been the experts in the movements of the celestial bodies and of time.

Their study of these movements in space and time also gave rise to very interesting observations about the distinct influences that affect the Earth and the Solar System in which we are traveling through the great galactic spaces.

For the Maya the 21st December 2012 will be the end of a 5125 year creation cycle. A cycle that began in 3114 BC in our calendar. It is the end of a 13 Baktun round and the beginning of a new creation… or in modern terminology it’s the end of one age and the beginning of a New Age. It also corresponds to an alignment of our solar system to the centre of the galaxy.

What this will mean for us who are alive in this time witnessing the events that take place on the planet will depend on many things, not least our state of consciousness.
It is interesting to also note the extent to which the dates of the Mayan calendar co-inside with other information as much on the scientific side as on the side of prophecies in various cultures.
According to the Incas we are presently entering a new Pachakutik or a new era on this planet. According to traditional elders in Peru the process of the new Pachakutik began in 1990 and this process of changing Pachakutiks takes 22 years… being completed in August 2012…The Hopi elders have also said that the Earth is in a time of purification and preparation that began in 1998 and will end in… 2012.

Seneca elders also say that we are in the midst of a 25 years purification period that will end in 2012. In South Africa an 80 year old Zulu Shaman has spoken of a certain star with a long tail that will return thousands of years after it was last seen, causing big climatic and weather changes. He said it would return in the year red bull which corresponds to 2012 in our calendar. The Maoris say that at the beginning of time the Earth and sky were pushed apart by the Gods of the sea, the wind and war and that they will eventually crash back together in the year 2012.
Studies of the I Ching have revealed that this system of prediction reaches a kind of zero point in the year 2012.

A number of reported Near Death Experiences have also spoken of being shown visions of the future in which there were dramatic changes on the planet by the year 2012.
Especially interesting are studies with children that have had near death experiences and reported changes on the planet with relation to climate, society and consciousness, all pointing toward 2012.

Changes in the Earths Geomagnetic field are being noted by scientists who say that the Geomagnetic field is dropping and in recent times, dropping at an ever increasing rate. When it reaches zero point there will be a reversal of planetary polarity. The Canadian government has been monitoring the North Pole and say that it has been moving since 1904 but since 1974 its moving 4 times faster than before. Meanwhile, French Geologists have noted areas where polarities are being reversed in the ocean to the south of South Africa. They say that the magnetic fields are disappearing around the poles and that there are huge masses of molten iron beneath the earth’s surface at the poles that are rotating in a reverse direction, weakening the magnetic fields.

Siberian geologist Dr Alexey Dimitriev has studied at length increased solar activity and the Earth’s magnetic field and concludes that a reversal is underway and this he says, also relates to temperature changes and the frequency of earthquakes, hurricanes, floods etc which have increased by 600% in the past 40 years. Dimitriev says, also that the solar system is moving through a plasma cloud… (Plasma is like a gas of electrons) and that this also is affecting the climate, the geo-magnetic field and other planetary and atmospheric elements.
At the centre of a tornado or hurricane vacuums are created that are related to phenomena such as fire balls and other lights. The frequency of these kinds of phenomena is also in the increase although physics doesn’t fully understand why.

In reality there are many different types of phenomena that are presenting themselves and pushing the boundaries of what we know in relation to the mechanics of the universe and to more than one of the more open minded scientists around say that we are heading toward some kind of zero point that will lead to dramatic changes and also great revelations as to the nature of many of the mysteries still not understood by our science.”

The above is a fairly good summary about the context of 2012 prophecies. Much of what is mentioned about science can be verified at various NASA and other scientific sites. The UN’s IPCC can certainly verify the very real climate shifts that are occurring. So where does this lead us? Is 2012 the end of the world? I, for one, do not think so and neither do most mystics nor secret societies believe the “end” is near. However, there is consensus that dramatic changes are happening and that the pace of change is quickening. The actual direction of that change will have its course set by mass consciousness. If society adopts an attitude of fear, the times may be real rough. On the other hand, if people decide that it is truly time for the old ways, the old paradigm, to go the way of the dinosaur, we may well enter a new age of enlightenment.

Over the coming months, much will be said about 2012. In January, the History Channel will have another show about Nostradamus and his predictions concerning 2012. In all likelihood, they will not get it right since their last show on the Books of Nostradamus caved in to the peddlers of fear. There is no question that the religious right is using 2012 as a means to frighten people into thing that these are the “End Times.” Again, buying in to that fear may well be self-fulfilling. The key here is to keep an open mind. Examine all of the data and mania that will be surfacing in greater depth in 2009 and try to see the positive in all things. For example, new retail sales reports will soon show that that holiday spending at the end of 2008 was a disaster. While that sounds bad, another look may indicate that the consumer has finally decided to end its spending spree that has almost decimated the world’s environment. That is a positive thing. With new priorities being set by the Obama administration, it may well be possible that, despite near economic collapse, we may not be entering a time where our public priorities have now veered in a more positive direction. Will the Phoenix arise from the ashes of the burning old world? Only time will tell.

MY HOLIDAY THOUGHTS FOR YOU

Pain is an alarm given by the body to let you know that something is not right. A headache may be telling you that you need more sleep or need to drink more water. A heart condition may be saying you need to reduce stress or fatty foods. Cancer may be saying that you need to not keep things in that eat away at your life.

While most now accept the fact that the state of mind, past and present, have a direct effect on your physical health, many still do not understand or accept that mental states affects every other aspect of life. Spiritual leaders from all cultures and religions have proclaimed the same fundamental truth; your thoughts and beliefs are the controlling factors in your job, relationships, health, and overall well-being.

What does this mean for you? This means that you are literally the architect of your everyday life. It means that each moment, you choose what the next moment will bring. It means you have the power to choose happiness, love, prosperity and abundance. It means that despite what you read in the news, you do not have to live a life of fear, lack, loneliness or ill-health.

We discover what we are, by experiencing what we are not. People often dwell on past “errors” and are consumed by them; they let these “errors” control their thoughts and therefore their reality. There are no mistakes. When you have committed what you believe to be an error you discover an aspect about yourself that requires attention. Just like with the headache, the pain caused by so called “mistakes” tells you that you need to adjust a part of your thought process. Focus upon what you have learned about yourself from such perceived errors and you shall evolve one more notch. By focusing on the new knowledge rather than the event, the pain goes away and the new information is now a tool to help you live a better life. A lesson learned is not a mistake.

The return of the Sun on the Solstice is also symbolized by Christmas. 2009 may be a very trying year for those who get caught up with the fear and anxiety of world events. These events are just like the headaches and the so-called mistakes. If society learns, it evolves. Most of the current adults on the planet are here to usher in a new paradigm. We created a world of fear to learn that fear only leads to sadness and destruction. We created an illusion of darkness in order to better understand and appreciate the LIGHT Was it a mistake? Not if we learn the lesson. With the returning Light, armed with the knowledge gained from our recent history, we are now in the position to totally change the world’s reality. We did good! We messed things up so bad that no rational being could possibly want to “stay the course.” We have brought the people to the borders Promised Land. It is just around the bend. If “we” do not enter, rest assured, our children will.
So in this Holiday season take solace and comfort. You have not made mistakes. What you did was necessary to bring yourself, and the world, to this precious moment of change and evolution. There is truly nothing to forgive. There is nothing to regret. You have brought the world to the GREAT AWAKENING and it could not have happened without YOU!

In the BLESSING OF LIGHT AND LOVE rejoice; for the time draws near when all of your hopes, dreams and highest desires shall be manifest. YOU are the SECOND COMING and you are here, NOW!

WORDS

As we all know, words have power. When combined with strong intent and emotion, words become a potent tool in the vibratory arsenal used to create realities. We are often admonished to choose our words wisely and yet, old cultural habits die hard. Even the most dynamic Now Age spiritual guides use words which, if carefully scrutinized, are counter productive to the intended message.
As we enter more deeply the paradigm of the Now Age, it seems appropriate to eliminate the outdated verbal baggage that no longer serves us. It is my intent to start a list of words which would be appropriate for elimination. Some of the words are obvious but others, because of their dual or ambiguous nature, still pervade the books, lectures and visual media of the proponents of spiritual evolution and mastery. I will offer the words and a brief rational as to why they need to enter the world of, “select all and delete.” While it may be difficult not to use certain words which are useful as object lessons, the less they are used, the less power they are given.
BELIEF or BELIEVE: To believe is to accept as true or real, to suppose, to have an opinion, to have faith. A belief is the mental acceptance in the truth or validity of something. To many, these words lack the solidity of truth. People understand that there are many beliefs and in doing so, understand that some are true and some are not. If I say that, “I believe that it will rain tomorrow” I do so with a degree of uncertainty. I am not positive it will rain, but I believe that it will. The connotations of “believe and belief” leave room for doubt. However, many put forth the notion that in order to consciously manifest a desire, you must “believe” that it has happened. The fact that the term “make believe” exists further clouds the mind as to the certainty of the word. To avoid doubt, it seems to me that the word KNOW should be used whenever possible. If you know something, there is no room for doubt.
FAITH: To have faith is to have a confident “belief” in the truth of something. Faith does not rest upon logical or material proof and it is often associated with the dogma of a particular religion. If you tell someone to have faith that their desires will manifest you are instilling a level uncertainty, blind acceptance and even religious connotation into your statement. Would it not make more sense to avoid this confusion and to once again use the word know in its place?
SHOULD: People are often told what they should and should not do. The term implies a duty or obligation. As a rule, this word is a turn off and tends to generate a less than desirable reaction. People do not like to be told what to do. Perhaps saying, “It may be appropriate or in your best interest” to do something would be a better choice of words.
GOOD, BAD EVIL: It would be appropriate to strike these words from all languages. How many have died because of these words? How many have suffered from depression or other manias by being called bad or evil? Yet, in almost all talks on the use of the Law of Attraction or other tools used to consciously manifest one’s reality these terms are liberally employed. We all know that what is “bad” today may be seen as something positive tomorrow. By using these words we perpetuate the whole “good versus evil” myth and do the world a disfavor. Even using words like “positive and negative” conjure up good vs. evil. They may be a step in the right direction but perhaps words like desirable and undesirable would be more effective and proper. While the manifest world is one of duality, it is not one of opposites but rather continuums.
There are many other words and phrases that we all know are inappropriate when putting forth spiritual principles. We often rail against words and phrases such as; can’t, lack, hate, need, want, it’s going around, there’s always something, death, disease, right, wrong, judgmental, and on and on. If we use these words in our writing, lectures, workshops, teleseminars and blogs, are we not giving them credence and power? By mentioning these words are we not attracting attention to them and continuing their vibratory place in the human psyche? We know that when you tell someone “not” to do something, their mind immediately focuses on what we are telling them not to do.
In an interview that I had with Dr. John Demartini he told me something that relates to this issue of semantics. Prior to conducting workshops in the Middle East, he spent a tremendous amount of time reading and studying the Qu’ran and leaning about local customs. He knew that if did not have a fundamental understanding of their values and word meanings, his mission would end in failure. I am sure that most inspirational speakers and spiritual leaders do the same any time they are doing work in foreign nations. I am not certain that an equal amount of attention is paid to such details when operating on familiar ground. When at home the tie often comes off and formality gives way to familiarity. Since words are thought, intention and emotion set to audible and/or visual vibration, would it not be appropriate to pay closer attention to the words we use to convey higher vibrations to our listeners, friends and loved ones?
Words become things. Words of judgment become the way we are judged. What you put out, it what is returned to you. As noted in JESUS TAUGHT IT, TOO: THE EARLY ROOTS OF THE LAW OF ATTRACTION, Jesus said, “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man…” We are not just talking about semantics. Words are energy expressed and they can do much damage. Choose your words carefully. Whether it is about the current economic situation, politics, health, the environment or relationships, the way you express yourself has an impact not only you, but those who hear and then repeat those words. This is why The Secret warns against ‘wars on poverty or drugs” or protesting against, rather than for something. By carefully choosing the way you express yourself, you become a force for positive change.

BLOGGERS: THE 21ST CENTURY ESSAYISTS

When you think of essayists names like Paine, Thoreau, Emerson or Elliot might come to mind. But in the 21st Century, the bloggers are the new essayists. Never before have so many been allowed to reach so many with new ideas, personal thoughts and commentaries on society. From supporting great human rights causes to exposing corruption, raising political awareness, providing alternative news, championing health issues or just being plainly anecdotal, bloggers are the new conscience of society.

In my new book, WHAT'S WRONG WITH US ANYWAY? COMMENTARIES ON A TROUBLED WORLD, I have compiled my blogs into major topics including: Politics, Religion and Spirituality, The Environment, The Economy, Society and Health containing over 60 blogs, essays, on my views of events in the world over the past year. In a sense, these essays are "blog-shots" of the world. The book, published by ALL THINGS THAT MATTER PRESS, is on Amazon and is also available as a Kindle Edition and E-Book. Hard copy can be ordered at this url:

SOUL IN YOUR BUSINESS, MONEY IN THE BANK!

Tough times do not mean tough business. Constant complaints about failing business have created an atmosphere of fear. Fear is now driving our economic woes. But, this does not have to be the way things are. A strong and committed mindset, coupled with the principles of the Law of Attraction, create a new freedom that is not bound by the dictates of fear. Want to know how to do this? Read the information about Christine Kloser's new book and discover how you, too, can shed the "slings and arrows" of the climate of fear! Perhaps this is the time to create a new business paradigm.

How would you briefly describe what you do? (e.g., your “elevator speech”)
I help conscious entrepreneurs integrate their spiritual wisdom with tangible business strategies so they experience a business (and life) filled with purpose, passion and profit.
What makes you / your company unique? ─ your so-called Unique Selling Proposition (USP)?
Tagline: Put Soul in Your Business.... And Money in Your Bank
What is the primary goal / mission of what you do: i.e.
• your work / profession
• My mission is to transform the lives of conscious entrepreneurs. In helping them transform their own lives and businesses, they can use their success as a vehicle for positive change in the world.
AND/OR

• your artistic/humanitarian/philanthropic activities
(as applicable)
• I ongoingly support several causes including Trees for the Future, Free the Slaves and Donors Choose. (Ann – you can www.thefreedomformula.com and click on “about us” to find out more about why I’ve chosen these organizations.)
Please describe briefly how you got started in all this, and how you arrived where you are currently.
My entrepreneurial journey began in 1991 when I literally fell into a career in the fitness industry as a personal fitness trainer. Out of that I also became certified as a Yoga instructor and ended up opening my own yoga studio in Los Angeles. Opening that studio in 1998 was the beginning of the most challenging time of my life. I had gone from working only 20 hours a week, enjoying lots of time off and making great money doing something I loved.... To working 60-70 hours per week, teaching up to 40 yoga classes a week and not able to pay my bills. This challenge lead me to invite some women friends to dinner who could give me the moral support and encouragement I desperately needed. This small group of friends that began in 2000, grew into a large networking organization for women in Los Angeles that was the first networking group to integrate spiritual principles into a business networking environment. During the time this group was growing, I had moved to a larger yoga studio. Unfortunately, this second yoga studio forced me to the edge of bankruptcy and sent me to into several years of financial struggle. Thankfully the Network for Empowering Women Entrepreneurs gave me the inspiration and motivation I needed to keep pursing my dream of entrepreneurial freedom. I experienced a lot of personal fulfillment and success through NEW, as did it’s hundreds of members, but sadly the organization was not something I planned on (I just thought I’d meet with a few friends for dinner once a month, not host meeting for early 100 women in a hotel ballroom), so it wasn’t intentionally built on a profitable financial model. Again, I was faced with having to shut down this business because it just didn’t make financial sense anymore. Around the time I was coming to this realization, I was also on a deep personal quest to figure out what it really took to make a business success in making a difference and making money. This is what set me on the path of identifying what it meant to be a conscious entrepreneurs, what the elements for success were for this new and growing business model, and how I could experience this in my own life. After several years on this quest of personal, spiritual and professional development, I was inspired to put my understandings down on paper and wrote the best-selling book, The Freedom Formula: How to Put Soul in Your Business and Money in Your Bank. The process of writing this book, pursuing my purpose and clarifying my message has opened so many doors of opportunity for me, it has been a miracle to experience. Now, The Freedom Formula has been turned into a 4-day live event, The Freedom Formula Experience (January 2009) featuring such visionaries as Neale Donald Walsch, author of Conversations with God, James Twyman director/producer of The Moses Code and Marianne Williamson, author of A Return to Love. The doors keep opening as I continue to create products, services and events that help entrepreneurs put soul in their business and money in their bank.
Which of your projects are you currently most excited / passionate about?
The Freedom Formula Experience! www.FreedomFormulaExperience.com. This event is going to set the stage for a whole new movement for conscious entrepreneurs... my intention is that this event has a tangible, positive impact on our world.
How much of your work is focused specifically toward women? Please explain.
While I don’t exclusively market to women, 90% of my clients are women. I think, in general, the type of work I do that incorporates business and spirit naturally attracts women. I find that women are often more conscious of their spiritual connection and are seeking more meaning and purpose in their business.
What are some of the ways / places in which you promote your enterprise?
I published a bi-weekly award-winning ezine, Conscious Business Connection.
I distribute media releases at least twice per month.
I do a lot of joint venture marketing with like-minded entrepreneurs in which they’ll host a teleclass for their database with me as the guest speakers.
I place advertisements on the internet through Google Adwords.
I submit articles online to several article distribution services.
I network and speak at live events.
Social networking primarily on Facebook and Ning.
Whom / what does your network currently include? How far does your network extend? (AND / OR: What is the size of your list / your outreach?)
My ezine reaches more than 6,000 entrepreneurs world-wide with the majority of readership in the United States. My network is the most valuable asset I have in my business.
What has been the best about building a network: Positive experiences?
Benefits, expected and unexpected?
The best thing about building my network is the tremendous amount of resources I have at my fingertips every single day. Resources in terms of trusted colleagues and collaborators, vendors for any need I may have and... and an abundance of financial resources.
What challenges (if any) have you found in your networking experiences? Unexpected events? Any benefits emerging from challenges in the long run?
My greatest challenge has been following up with people I meet in person. It’s so easy to meet wonderful people everywhere I go, but it’s not easy to always follow through with all of those contacts to the degree that I’d like to. The emerging benefit has been creating some great free resources for my target audience. Now, when I meet people I want to stay connected with, I ask for their permission to send them my free Conscious Business Success Kit which includes a subscription to my award-winning ezine. This allows me to ethically opt them into my database and be able to maintain communication with them.
Bottom line – What do you feel is really working well for you / your company at this time?
Hands down, what’s working for me is my network! Most recently, as soon as my network found out about The Freedom Formula Experience coming up in January, they are coming out of the woodwork to ask me how they can help me promote the event. The other thing that’s really working well is having my book The Freedom Formula done. Readers are having great results from reading the book and sharing it with their friends. The buzz is spreading because of the pass-along value of the book. This is working really well right now and I am so grateful for everyone who is connecting with my book.
What’s the achievement / accomplishment you’re most proud of at this time?
Not quitting on my dream. I’ve faced some very challenging times... and keep hearing from others that I should just give up and get a job. And, I never did. I knew I had something to contribute through my own business, and I kept pursuing that purpose no matter what.
What are your plans and goals for the future (organizational / personal), especially regarding networking activities?
My goal for the future is to continue publishing books and developing new products and services that help entrepreneurs grow their business based on spiritual principles. As far as my networking activities go, right now they seem to be taking o a whole new level. I think the future of my networking activities will be more focused on networking with centers of influence in related fields and leveraging those connections to impact more people.
Anything else you would like to add for our readers? Perhaps words of encouragement and / or inspiration?
If you have the desire in your heart to succeed as a woman entrepreneur, you can. Don’t ever give up on yourself or your dream. Keep yourself surrounded by supportive people who believe in you. Ask for help and know that everything that happens to you in your life and your business is happening for a reason... to serve your highest good, and the highest good of the people you’re meant to serve.

How to Shift into Abundance
In times like these, when the external world is absorbed in "lack, lack, lack", it's more important than ever for you to shift into abundance... and stay there. Yet, when I analyzed the responses to my recent survey (on the challenges you face in your business), the majority said they were having trouble getting out of fear and living in abundance.
So, in this article I'll be sharing one of the most powerful tools I use to shift into abundance... no matter what's happening around me. This is a process I use practically every single day to keep myself in the energy of abundance. Not only is this process simple, energizing and fun; it works!
Energize Your Vision
Step 1: Find a vision partner. In order for your vision to have the biggest impact on your life, it's best to energetically speak your vision out loud to a vision partner. Your partner needs to be someone who "gets" you and who believes in an abundant world. Create a partnership with someone who support you in your dreams, doesn't call you "crazy" for thinking BIG, and understands the power of a held intention.
Step 2: Set up a time to talk with your partner. Once you've found a visioning partner, make an appointment to talk on the phone for at least fifteen minutes every week. The first time you have your call, you may want to schedule a bit longer so you can talk about the process after you're done and check-in with each other to see if you have any suggestions or feedback for future sessions.
Step 3: Create a sacred space. When it's time for your vision call, you'll want to do a brief centering exercise that aligns you with each other and establishes the sacred space in which you'll share together. Just taking a few deep breaths together can easily get you centered. (That's the yoga instructor in me speaking.)
Step 4: Speak your vision. After you've taken a few deep breaths and created a scared space together, the first person to go simply begins to speak their vision to their partner... as if you were experiencing it right now! Allows yourself to transcend any current situation in your life right now and truly shift into the energy of your vision ALREADY being realized. When you do this, you connect at the highest level of the Infinite Abundant Supply, to God, the Universe (or whatever you call that Source of all that is). And, your resonance with this "field" is what causes things to shift in your life.
Step 5: Listen to your partner. As important as it is for the person speaking their vision to step into the energy of having ALREADY realized their dreams, the partner (listener) also has an important responsibility. The listener must hear his/her partner's vision as if it IS already done. They must hold the vision, and see it as vividly as their partner does. Then, once the partner is complete, the listener says, "I see that vision for you." The listener can also contribute any additional words of support or any insights they received that would benefit their partner in realizing their vision.
The experience of having another person listen to you with the intention of your vision being realized is deeply powerful. It's been one of the best tools I've ever used in manifesting all that has come to me in recent years from the birth of my daughter and the purchase of a brand-new custom home, to the release of one business and the rapid expansion of another. I urge you to find a partner and get started with this today because remember.... it's not only fun, it works!
NOTE: If you cannot find a vision partner for this process, then you can simply do it on your own. Be sure to SPEAK your vision out loud, even if only to yourself. The spoken word, (and the energy) it carries is a key piece for this to work.
Believe in Your Power to Transform the World
What would it take for you to BELIEVE you can truly transform the world?
No matter what business you're in, no matter where you live, no matter what challenge you may be facing right now... you absolutely stand in a place of power to positively transform the world. And, if you're saying to yourself, "Yeah, that's easy for you to say, Christine, but you don't know what I'm going through." I assure you, I understand because I've been there. I know what it's like to believe in your ability to transform yourself (and others) when it appears that nothing is going your way.
Remind yourself of the fact that being alive right now, as the unique being that you are, is a miracle in and of itself! The moment you were conceived you were a miracle, and you continue to be... no matter what may be going on in the world around you.
The reality you live in depends heavily on the conversations that occur in your mind. Your level of belief in yourself (and the power you possess to make a real difference in the world) exists in your mind as well. So, here are some ways you can increase your belief in your ability to transform the world. Keep in mind, when you think of "the world" remember you don't have to transform every single person on the planet, but you do need to impact those in YOUR world.
1) Remember Your Accomplishments
One of the best things you can do to establish deeper belief in yourself, and your abilities, is to remember your past accomplishments. Take out a piece of paper, grab a pen and begin to list your accomplishments right now. What success have you experienced in your business, your relationships, your education, your friendships, your family, with your clients, your mindset, your personal goals, your partnerships, your masterminds, etc. Everything counts! So, start your list now and keep adding to it. This exercise will help you stay in a higher vibration so you can continue to do what you're here to do... and continue to impact lives.
2) Remember The Difference You've Already Made
This is another terrific "list" exercise that connects you with the difference you've already made in the lives of others. Whenever you doubt the power you have to create positive change, recall those moments in which you KNEW, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you made a difference.
Right now, think about those experiences you've had with a client where you knew you made a difference. Perhaps you saw it in their eyes, heard it in their voice, or read it in their words. Then, keep this list handy and read it often. For me, when I need a reminder, I read my Amazon.com book reviews for The Freedom Formula. It's an instant connection right back to the impact my book is having on readers worldwide. For you, it may be going to your "brag file," or reading a note from a client or testimonials on your own website. Whatever it is for you, anytime you feel your doubt waiver... remember the difference you've already made and it will help you make a bigger difference in the days, months and years to come.
3) Remember Your Higher Purpose
This strategy invites you to elevate your perspective of why you're here, living on the planet at this critical point in time. You are here to wake up and help others wake up to the new world that is emerging right now. You chose to be here at this important time because you have a unique purpose to fulfill in helping others to heal, grow, transform, evolve, and become all that they were meant to be. Your purpose may be showing up as a gentle whisper or a booming voice... but it is clear that you are here to be a force for positive change in the world. So, remember your purpose (even if it's not crystal clear yet) and let that carry you into deeper and deeper belief in the role you have to play in transforming the world.
These three strategies are essential for staying on track with your dreams and being a CAUSE for positive change in the world. Doubt and fear will likely surface as you take bigger and bolder steps in your business to create more transformation for others. But, not to worry... when you come back to these strategies, you'll realize that nothing can keep you from doing what you're here to do. And so it is...

Just what was Jesus trying to tell us?

The quoted words of Jesus in the Bible are by no means enigmatic; they are rather simple and straight forward. However, they can be interpreted in many different ways, on different levels. Right off the top, they can instruct us on how to live an ethical, moral, upright life. Digging further into them, they can lead us to an understanding of how to get beyond our selfishness and love everyone, even our enemies, as our own self. In “Jesus Taught It, Too! (The Early Roots of the Law of Attraction),” author Phil Harris has given us a stellar and insightful interpretation of Jesus as the Master Teacher who pointed out the Way to those who “have ears to hear,” on an even deeper level; that being a roadmap to not just following Christ and becoming “Christ-like,” but rather the self-discovery of all that we are, and that being nothing other than God Itself. There is just as much inner space as outer-space, and our sense of “I Am,” our conscious free will, is a swinging door opening up heaven or hell as we create either one with our thoughts and desires.

Very well written, well thought through, and with lots of added spiritual treats at the end of Harris’ expose, this book is a timely read, riding the crest of the current global interest in the Law of Attraction. Twenty or thirty years ago, this work would most likely have been dubbed as “esoteric” by the majority, but I believe that is not apropos in today’s climate of growing non-exclusive spiritual interest across the planet. This book is a valuable addition to anyone’s library who considers him or her self as a real investigator of spiritual truth. Probably a bit too over the top for anyone with literal mindedness or traditional fundamentalist Christian beliefs, but for those with an open mind, I highly recommend it!

Review written by Marvin D. Wilson, author, I ROMANCED THE STONE, OWEN FIDLER

“Your book is a profound; highly compelling piece of work… compelling one to wake up
from the dogma machinery… it should raise many eyebrows! And create some religious constipation!”
Ed Rychkun

“The Law of Attraction is no newly revealed secret, it was taught by a very humble man of God more than 2000 years ago. “Jesus Taught It, Too: The Early Roots of the Law of Attraction,” by Philip Harris presents a compelling argument that the Law of Attraction is not a modern paradigm shift. Harris puts forth that the teachings of Jesus and his followers is a mindset that requires knowing one’s inner meaning that comes from the heart. Jesus espoused the firm belief that faith is based on knowing…not hoping.
Harris’ in-depth research of Biblical scripture and history offers well-founded premises to support his discussion of Jesus’ simple message. According to Harris, Jesus taught that the reality of the world is that we live in a unified universe, free of judgment, seeking our spirituality. Organized religion is a man-made institution that teaches the faithful about the dogma of good, evil, sin and a punitive God. The New Age movement is not truly new, according to Harris, since the early 1800’s the movement of positive thinking and positive affirmations has included the likes of Alcott, Emerson and Thoreau. Man has sought to analyze spiritual thought and seek their inner Christ through visualization since the Apostles sat at the foot of their Master.
“Jesus Taught It, Too…” explores the concept that a true meditative state is found only when you are free of emotional, spiritual, and physical baggage. Through the recognition that God is not exclusionary you can reap physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional wealth. Doubt will ensure failure.
“Jesus Taught It, Too…” presents complex theocratic beliefs in simple, straight-forward language. The Law of Attraction addresses the powerful influence of positive thinking in the acquisition of physical and material needs. Jesus taught that by applying these same principals to one’s spiritual life, one’s physical and material needs will be met as a natural result of their application. Harris challenges the reader to “believe in the best with an inner conviction…and it will manifest in your life.” This book’s intriguing but down-to-earth message will appeal to any reader seeking to broaden their spiritual horizon.

This is a must read for those that are the true believers of Jesus Christ. Mr. Harris went beyond what the church would want you to know of Jesus as a philosophical human being, with knowledge not only in spirituality, but also of the true meaning behind the words. If you have been following the church and what they want you to believe blindly, then it is time to stop being just another one of the many sheep and become an individual power that can and will draw others into the truth of Jesus. This book is your start to that truth which will only grow with your new outlook upon the words of Jesus.”

WE PERCEIVE THAT TIMES ARE TOUGH. HOWEVER, THAT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR REALITY. THERE ARE THOSE WHO PROSPER, REGARDLESS OF ECONOMIC CONDITIONS. THERE ARE THOSE WHO HAVE HAPPY, HEALTHY AND ABUNDANT LIVES DESPITE WHAT GOES ON IN THE WORLD. YOU CAN SUFFER THE "SLINGS AND ARROWS' OR YOU CAN TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE. THIS BOOK WILL SHOW YOU HOW!

When you hear the word "Polarity" you tend to think of opposites. The positive and negative polarities of a magnet or groups polarized on opposite sides of an issue are examples that might spring to mind.
Whenever you think a thought, polarization also occurs. If you think hot, the concept of cold arises; up and down; high and low; happy and sad; light and dark; abundant and poor; and well and sick are examples of how thoughts polarize.
But, like "heads and tails" of a coin, we find that polarized thoughts are not two separate things; rather they are expressions of the same thing. Cold is the absence of heat; dark is the absence of light. Neither cold nor dark exist independently. In fact, polarized thoughts are expressed on a continuous line and are not at all separate things. It is one thing, or thought, expressed differently.
When you think a thought, it immediately polarizes along a continuum ranging from a high vibration to a low vibration. For example, the color purple is a higher vibration or frequency than the color red. The lower the vibration is heavier, more compact, and kind of weighty. Higher vibrations are light and actually have more power. When you feel good, you feel light and cheery; when you feel depressed, you feel heavy and weighted down.
Polarizing Your Life Toward Perfection™ is a program that will show you how to use this concept to radically alter your life. Combined with the Law Of Attraction, this program will enable you to draw abundance, well being, a greater state of happiness, spiritual awakening, improved relationships, and a more fulfilling life into your new reality.

Dyan Garris says, Excellent, profound, and well written book, which will help a lot of people. Great explanation of duality consciousness! Love this! It's like "your mind on a diet." :-) Love the diagrams. Love your writing style. Wonderful! This is vibrating very high. Amazing, really!

“Thank you for the sneak-peek of your wonderful new book. A delightful read. You have clarified an old concept and built upon it in such a way that real people in today's busy world can not only understand, but can implement this program into their lives. You not only tell, but show how to use Polarization to achieve a total life make-over. What an enjoyable breath of fresh air!”

IF YOU HAVE TEENAGERS

I am going to be featuring some of my books here for the holiday. Since they all have an important message about society, personal transformation and ways to inprove your life, what better gift to give for -dare I say- CHRISTMAS!!!

A MAINE CHRISTMAS CAROL

A MAINE CHRISTMAS CAROL is more than a retelling of the Dickens classic. It is a contemporary look at modern society with a focus upon young adults. Set in Hallowell, Maine we find old Scrooge replaced by 16 year old TJ. Having lost his father in Iraq, TJ has turned to drugs in an attempt to cope with a world that he feels has spun out of control. TJ alienates himself from his family and friends and his father returns in spirit, like Jacob Marley of old, in an attempt to steer his son from the path of self-destruction. As one reviewer says of the novel, "In the guise of the well loved tale it reminds us of the effects of modern life, its drugs, wars and poverty, on its people. It gives us the hope and optimism that is much needed in our contemporary world." This novel has received numerous pre-publication reviews that praise its style and content. The English editor of Arabesques Literary and Cultural Review says it is a "biting Christmas fable for out times. Read it, weep, and rejoice."

A Maine Christmas Carol is a moving replay of the Christmas classic. It comes to life in its portrayal of the character of TJ, a realistic portrait of a disenfranchised youth. He struggles to deal with the loss of his father and fears loving his family in case he loses them also. By becoming totally self absorbed he only has to think about himself, by putting down others he maintains his wall of uncaring. The author, Philip Harris, has managed to create a sympathetic, understandable character even as TJ scares the elderly and young children alike.
A strong, thorough and meaningful plot is enveloped within of these pages. At around 100 pages it is a poignant and timely reminder of the meaning of caring in today’s world. Its well chosen words enable a full length novel to inhabit the pages of a novella. In the guise of the well loved tale it reminds us of the effects of modern life, its drugs, wars and poverty, on its people. It gives us the hope and optimism that is much needed in our contemporary world.
This will be a holiday treat for Maine and the country. Put up the holiday lights of all nations, light the fireplace and curl up with this dose of hope.

At thirteen Thomas Johnson, known as T.J. loses his father in Iraq just before Christmas, at fifteen his girlfriend commits suicide and by sixteen he has
gone completely off the rails, taking drugs, hitting his younger brother and having no interest in anything except where
his next fix is coming from. His mother is a social worker and T.J. is jealous of all the time she spends helping other
people and feels she doesn't care about her own family at all. He has everything money can buy but money can't
buy what he really wants, his mother's time and attention. He has no idea how to cope with the mess his life has
become and Christmas is just another horrible day in his horrible life and he refuses to go with his mother and siblings
to his uncle's house to celebrate.

Staying in the house on his own, he is visited by the ghost of his father, but T.J. thinks it's just the drugs he was taking.
Then his is visited by three other spirits, of his past, present and future and nothing will be the same after that night.

A modern retelling of the Dickens' tale, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one. I have to say I was pleasantly
surprised how much I did enjoy it. I'm normally not that keen on modernized versions of anything and I wasn't sure
how I was going to relate to a drug addict.

Although short, the book packs a punch and Thomas was more of a sympathetic character than I had anticipated.
Considering all the terrible things that happened in his short life, you could almost understand why he turned to drugs
in the first place as a way to cope or to avoid his problems.

Not a word is wasted and you are drawn into the story fairly quickly. The end of the book is a message of hope
and it leaves you with a warm feeling that makes you want to hunt out the Christmas tree and curl up with a mug of
hot chocolate, even if I did read it in October. TJ’s transformation from surly, disenfranchised youth to a more grown
up and responsible young man is deftly handled and although the book ends just at the beginning of that transformation,
you know that all will be well for the Johnsons from now on.

A great read.

"The unique storytelling of the three visitations from the spirits of Christmas past, present and future are nothing short of marvelous writing and wonderful reading."
Marvin Wilson, author of I ROMANCED THE STONE

"I will be completely surprised if we do not see A MAINE CHRISTMAS CAROL as a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, it is the kind of story families will gladly gather together to enjoy for generations to come."
Joyce A. Anthony, author of STORM.

"At last, a classic for our own age."
Brian Doe, author of Barley and Gold and co-author, WAKING GOD

"DEATH AND TERRORISM IN IRAQ, A POTHEAD SCROOGE, AN EXASPERATED WIDOW, SEXUAL MOLESTATION, UNBEARABLE MEMORIES OF VIETNAM, TRANSCENDENT LOVE-A BITING FABLE FOR OUR TIMES."
Djelloul Marbrook, English Editor, Arabesques Literary and Cultural Review

Philip Harris’ A Maine Christmas Carol, a modern retelling of the Dickensian fable of Christmas’ past, present, and future in a middle class New England setting is a holiday treat for readers of all ages. The spirit of the original story is cleverly unraveled in a more up to date but equally grim narration of the experiences of a blighted contemporary Scrooge named Thomas as he “sees” Christmas with his spirit guides.
The classic unfolding of the life of a beleaguered and very ill-spirited young man faced with the consequences of his own self-serving actions is cleverly layered with messages aimed at the socially irresponsible of our own life and times. A Maine Christmas Carol is a powerful parable of the ills of progressive society left to exist unchecked and held unaccountable. Through the eyes of the spirit guides, Thomas sees that while he is not responsible for the happiness of others, his actions do deeply impact all those who come in contact with him. From the local shop owners to his eight-year-old sister, his exploits leave a deep and lasting impression. Even more critical to note is the tsunami-like wave affect his acts, deeds, and lack of achievement has on those he will never meet. What he does not do with his life is just as significant as what he has done so far in his 16 years.
In Harris’ A Maine Christmas Carol, a new family tradition is born. The easy conversational writing style, the logical flow of the story, and the twist to the original story makes this book a new classic that will go on the shelves right next to Dickens’ original morality tale. Harris does a marvelous job of weaving Thomas’ profound experience of redemption with the underlying themes of social justice and poverty. A Maine Christmas Carol is explicit in demonstrating the relationship of the privileged class in our country who has failed to address the social issues facing our society. Philip Harris has clearly and unequivocally produced a rich allegory that redefines the importance of Christmas to a new generation of readers.

Alexander Brogan, New York Philharmonic violinist and Julliard instructor, could not have imagined that his fiancée Charlotte would be murdered at Lincoln Center, nor could he have fathomed abandoning his elite Manhattan lifestyle and retreating to a small town in upstate, New York. Determined to fade away into a quiet, isolated existence as a high school music teacher, he encounters a wily ten-year-old violin prodigy named Kelly, whom he vainly tries to ignore. But through the arm-twisting antics of her straight-shooting, Louisiana-born grandmother, he agrees to teach the child. Ultimately, the experience forces him not only to rediscover his passion for the violin and music, but also to realize that love may very well linger in a heart that only Kelly’s beautiful Aunt Grace can open.

HAIKU SMILES
BY
NANCY LEE SHRADER
Haiku is a poetic form and a type of poetry from the Japanese culture. Haiku combines form, content, and language in a meaningful, yet compact form. Haiku poets write about everyday things. Many themes include nature, feelings, or experiences. Usually they use simple wordsand grammar. The most common form for Haiku is three short lines. The first line usually contains five (5) syllables. Haiku doesn’t rhyme. A Haiku must paint a mental image in the reader’s mind. This is the challenge of Haiku – to put the poem’s meaning and imagery in the reader’s mind in ONLY 17 SYLLABLES over just three (3) lines of poetry!

NO MORE LOSERS
BY
LINDA WALKER
This is a testimonial along with a proposed plan for getting to know yourself and why you are unhappy with your body. If weight problems stem from emotional distress, of eating disorders that are emotional in nature there is hope in understanding why. Only as you understand yourself can you correct the mental cues that cause over eating.
Linda further recommends a positive thought approach to building a strong future of weight reduction and control. Not to deprive but reward in a way that is acceptable. Not counting calories, following food plans and all the other short term fixes but to find a balance in life and in food that nourishes without guilt. In effect it is respecting and loving yourself enough to do what is best for your body, mind and soul.

RAMBLINGS THROUGH THE ATTIC OF THOUGHT
BY
E. JOYCE MOORE
There are always at least two sides to every story. Somewhere in between is where the truth is hidden. Those who seek the truth, even when it is not what they want to hear, will live the most genuine life. Your decisions may be the same, but they will be based upon an unadulterated integrity. If there is a small voice inside you whispering questions, have the courage to seek the answers, lest your personal truth becomes counterfeit by omission. Decisions made, actions taken, judgments ruled -- sans listening to every faction with as much objectivity as humanly possible -- will always be based upon warped evidence, ultimately causing those who continue stand upon such flawed reality, to fall.

END "AWARENESS" WEEKS!

It is time to end all of the “disease awareness” weeks, days and months. If you believe that form follows thought, these types of events are perpetuating the very things that people are trying to end. While noble in intent, the constant barrage of cancer awareness, AIDS awareness, Diabetes awareness, erectile dysfunction awareness, mental illness awareness and a multitude of other dysfunction awareness weeks merely serve to focus attention on the problem, not the solution. In other words, these best intentions have been paving the way to certain health malfunctions.

As we bring the awareness of all of these diseases into our minds, we give them life and energy. For the adherents of “The Secret,” these events should sound very clear warning bells. Wisdom tells us that when we war against something, that ‘something’ gains in strength. The ‘wars’ on poverty, drugs, terrorism and other issues have not been successful because they feed the thoughts that they try to destroy. According to the book, POLARIZING YOUR LIFE TOWARD PERFECTION, “When you fight something, you add energy to it. For every action, thoughts included, there is an equal and opposite reaction…By saying that you want to be well, you are telling yourself, and the Universe, that you are not well, and so form follows thought, reality flows where consciousness goes.”

When, for example, we have breast cancer awareness week, we are accepting the concept of this disease into our thoughts. What is created is a sense of fear. Minds begin to wonder if this is something that will happen to me. We begin to give energy and life and plant the seed for it to manifest. The same is true for any other disease. One attracts what one fears the most. I have a friend who, because her mother died of colon cancer, that she was going to get it, too. It was a constant topic of discussion. She was convinced it would happen to her and sure enough, it did. After treatment it went away but she insists that the remission is temporary and it will return. We are barraged by ads and groups that want you to become aware of a particular disease and they want you to help ‘fight’ it.

We are reminded in the book, JESUS TAUGHT IT, TOO: THE EARLY ROOTS OF THE LAW OF ATTRACTION (2ND edition) that the Master said, “…as thou hast believed, so it be done unto you.” It does not get ant clearer than that. Whatever you believe is the basis for you reality. What you believe ‘becomes’ your reality. Buddha adds, “We are what we think. With our thoughts we make the world.” While it is clear that those who sponsor these ‘awareness’ weeks are not trying to make you sick, the result is nonetheless the creation of fertile soil in which these diseases take root. It is clear that the more society hears of a disease, the more prevalent it seems to become. Just like with, “the flu is going around.” Soon after everyone you know gets the flu.

Modern medicine is showing increasing evidence that our state of mind is fundamental to our health. Fear creates stress; stress creates disease. The leading proponents of the Law of Attraction, Byrne, Canfield, Demartini, Proctor, Assaraf, Beckwith, Garris, Harris and scores of others all echo the same refrain, “Our body is really the product of our thoughts.” When we are infected with Aids awareness, heart disease awareness, breast cancer awareness and more, we are creating a mindset that breads the very thing that is being fought. The solution to this dilemma is simple. Create “Heart Appreciation, Healthy Living, Body Appreciation, Healthy Mind, etc. weeks.” Rather than putting the focus on the disease, put the focus on how to have a healthy
